INTELLIGENT—Interoperable Tools for Network-Aware, Ledger-Based Local Energy Sharing and Flexibility Management Leveraging User Engagement was launched with an online kick-off meeting on December 4th, hosted by the project coordinator, R2M Solution Spain SL. This project aims to advance P2P energy trading technology, making it more accessible, secure, and efficient. This will benefit citizens economically and environmentally while supporting grid operators in better-addressing grid stability and congestion management.

A total of 15 partners make up the project consortium and will work together over the next three years to achieve this goal. The partners range from top R&D centres and universities, SMEs, NGOs, and public bodies, including distribution system operators and local energy communities. Together, we will work on advancing P2P energy trading technology, making it more accessible, secure, and efficient.

The solutions developed within the INTELLIGENT project will be tested in four pilot locations: CELL – Collaborative Energy Living Lab (Switzerland), LIC – Lugaggia Innovation Community (Switzerland), Bicesse Kindergarten and Feirense Football Stadium (Portugal), and the Aran Islands energy community (Ireland).
